Cris & Miguel
One of the best things about being a wedding planner is that you meet a lot of people; all kinds of amazing people. We are so grateful to be part of one of the most special moments in people’s lives: their weddings.
Today we are sharing with you the wedding of Cris and Miguel, a cheerful couple who decided right after our first meet that we – Pasión Eventos – would be the ones to take charge of the planning and coordination of their big day. There are various reasons as to why couples hire wedding planners, but obviously because they need help with the planning. In this case, Cris and Miguel decided to hire a wedding planner because they lived away from the wedding location and also because they wanted a unique wedding.
Even if it is a hackneyed idea, ‘making your dreams come true’ is our mission. In Cris and Miguel’s wedding we accomplished our goal – expressing their personality as a couple in their wedding day and make the most important people in their lives take part in it. After a few email conversations and phone calls, we understood what they really wanted: a fun, romantic and genuine wedding, where everyone could have a great time!
They got married at the Ermita de Sant Miquel, a small, cosy chapel a few minutes away from the country house where the reception would be held; a place with amazing views to the Serra de Tramuntana. It was a Mediterranean-inspired country wedding with a happy and relaxed atmosphere. In the chapel, we used a light pink, green and white colour palette and chose baby’s breath, roses, lisianthus, freesia and alstroemeria for the flower décor. We styled the church with big baskets full of baby’s breath and prepared paper cones filled with lavender to be thrown at the newlyweds by their guests. The bride’s bouquet was made of David Austin pink roses, cineraria and olive.
For the cocktail hour, we created a chill-out area by the pergola, where guests would sit and enjoy the stunning views. Real wood sofas, cushions in pink, white and green shades, and mason jars filled with flowers added a warm touch to the wedding venue. At the clastra (traditional Majorcan courtyard) we set imperial tables dressed with white linen and burlap table runners, and added wooden chairs. Tables were decorated with rattan charger plates, green glass cups and beautiful centrepieces consisting of bottles and jars filled with flowers. We covered the courtyard with shade sails for everyone to enjoy the reception with no direct sunlight. The venue was styled to work in perfect harmony with the location and the strong Mediterranean feel of the wedding.
They enjoyed live music at the wedding ceremony, as well as at the cocktail hour, where people actually started to get in a party mood. The caterer hired for the occasion amazed everyone with its creative cuisine and the DJ managed to keep everyone dancing and having a great time. A wedding full of little gestures and special moments: favours for all guests, unexpected speeches, friends singing songs for the couple, slideshow videos that made everyone laugh and shed emotional tears, mojitos all evening long…
If there is one thing that stands out about Cris and Miguel is their happy and cheerful nature; also, their ever-smiling faces and the way they love their families and friends. We are grateful to have a job we adore and where we are able to be part of unique moments in people’s lives: their weddings.
