As wedding planners and event organizers, we know that decorating a wedding is not an easy task. In our years of experience, we have organized all types of weddings, with different styles and inspirations, always reflecting the couple’s essence. We do not concentrate exclusively on a specific kind of wedding. On the contrary, we are known for being highly “chamaleonic”.
As with all fashions, in the world of decoration there are also trends that come back. This is the case of imperial tables. The large tables that were trendy in our parents’ times have come back with strength. The historic use of this type of tables has drawn the shape of a parabola: during the 60’s and 70´s they were the most used tables, replaced by the famous round tables in the 80’s, 90’s and beginning of the 2000s.
In recent years, the possibilities they offer have conquered many couples, who have chosen to include them in their wedding’s decoration, allowing us to create numerous scenarios in which these tables have played a main role. However, in Pasión Eventos we believe that although trends are important, they should not be seen as an obligation. The most important thing is to reflect the tastes and identity of the couple, so it only makes sense to follow a trend if it has to do with you and your own style.
If you are considering including this type of table in your wedding, we would like to share with you some of the ones we have created for our weddings. We will also take the chance to tell you about the benefits of such arrangements.
In first place, the combinations they allow are endless. In our long experience, we have organized weddings in which we decided to set a single and very large imperial table, and others for which we chose to combine them in different ways, playing with spaces, location and distribution. In this sense, there are many aspects we have to consider: from the couple’s taste, to the venue, the wedding type and the rest of the decoration.
On the other side, we believe it is important to innovate, to go beyond the conventional, therefore nothing prevents us from combining imperial tables with round or square tables, always playing with location, space and venue. We are passionate about being creative and searching for inspiring options which reflect the couple’s essence and are part of their story.
On imperial tables, centrepieces play a fundamental role, offering the opportunity to create large centrepieces along the whole table or to play with different, smaller creations like the ones we could use on round or square tables.
We love having weddings with different styles. Depending on the couple, we can create endless centrepieces from end to end of the table, in which greenery, leaves and flowers play the main role, or choose using candelabra, baskets, wooden elements or flower arrangements nicely combined with the crockery of choice. The options are never ending, and our goal is to create exclusive concepts in which quality, design, creativity, elegance and harmony always come first.
Personally, I think lighting is essential, and this type of tables allows playing with candles, candelabra and small lights. Why not integrate candles into the centrepieces or include large candelabra in the decoration? The use of light garlands will give your wedding a majestic touch and a fairy-tale look.
These tables allow both the presence or absence of tablecloths, exposing the beauty of the wood. In Pasión Eventos we believe every detail must be carefully taken care of, in order to reflect the DNA and identity of the bride and groom. The table linen offers endless possibilities, from white table cloths with patterned napkins or table runners combined with raffia under plates. It is essential to create a harmonic set in which each piece fits perfectly.
Another undeniable advantage of this kind of tables is the distribution of the guests. The choice of imperial tables solves some of the problems derived from seating guests around smaller tables, such as separating groups of friends, family quarrels, giving priority to some tables over others and mis-seating some of the guests.
It is important to remember that centrepieces must never hinder interaction among the guests, they should not become a wall that isolates them.
The most important thing is not to forget that it is a unique and unrepeatable moment, so it is fundamental that you follow your taste and enjoy every second, always with the best professional advice.
Our customers hire us because they want an extraordinary wedding, in which every detail has been carefully thought about and organized. They are people who want quality, the peace of mind of knowing they are in the best hands, and excellent results.
