Six outfits to become the perfect spring wedding guest
With the coming of April, and thus, sunnier and longer days, the wedding season is officially upon us! Weddings, and all sorts of events. Even if you’re not getting married in the coming months, you will most likely be invited, at least, to a wedding. So the sooner you’re ready, the better.
The first thing that will come to your mind after receiving a wedding invitation is the dreaded question ‘What will I wear?’ And then you’ll have to spend a lot of time surfing the Internet, social networks or go browsing around looking for the right outfit to become the perfect spring wedding guest.
As a wedding planner, I deal on a daily basis with every aspect related to a wedding. Apart from the planning, arranging details, hiring and coordinating suppliers, styling the venues, and so on, I have to stay on top of things and that also applies to bridal and wedding guest fashion.
I strongly believe that anything we do in our life must come from the heart and be right to ourselves. Fashion modes and trends must be taken lightly, it’s is best that you stay true to yourself, your style, and dress accordingly. No one knows better than you what suits you best, and that’s the most important thing to be kept in mind when looking for an outfit.
To help you with that decision, and bring you some inspiration, check these six outfits to become the perfect wedding guest this season. Are you ready?
The first place on my list is the jumpsuit. I love them. Little by little they’ve gone from quite trendy to indispensable. In the past decade it’s become the most popular option among female guests who don’t love wearing dresses.
As a wedding planner, I always try to find genuine, elegant and authentic options and that’s what I’ve found in this Pedro del Hierro outfit. This bicolour strapless neckline jumpsuit, made of satin, with a corset-like top and wide palazzo legs. It’s ideal for guests who are looking for something different, more of a red-carpet look.
Another option that I love are two-part outfits, either consisting of jacket and trousers or a top and trousers. I think it’s a great idea, less conventional and very comfortable. And you can mix and match it with different accessories, so you can feel more like yourself.
Also, combining a skirt or pair of trousers with a top is really practical and versatile, as it will allow you to wear each piece again yet combined differently. This Carolina Herrera blouse + ruffle skirt outfit is just beautiful, either wearing both pieces together or separately.
However, if you are a dress lover, this season you’ll find lots of short dresses from a great number of designers. Dolores Promesas Heaven Summer Collection has a wide catalogue of this type of dress to please all sorts of guests. This cocktail metallic pink dress is a must have for this spring; it has a lovely and elegant cut. How do you like it?
Or would you like to become the perfect guest in red? If there’s a classic we should all have in your wardrobes is a red dress. Cherubina knows all about it, and that’s why she’s created this glamourous crepe and exquisite silk organza dress. Impossible not to fall for its balloon sleeves!
Or even if you are invited to a late afternoon wedding and you need to find the right evening dress. This pastel gown with floral embroideries by Dolores Promesas, it’s irresistible – elegant, chic, and with a romantic feel. To me, the perfect long dress.
I hope you found these ideas interesting and useful in your search for the perfect outfit.
Remember – always be yourself, and, as the song goes, ‘You’re never fully dressed without a smile.’
